Donegal Death Notices – Rest in Peace

Donegal death notices for today, Saturday, September 30.

 

Manus MCCOLGAN
The death has occurred of Manus McColgan (Glasheen, Cork and late of Malin, Donegal): On September 29, 2017, peacefully, at his home. Beloved husband of Marjorie (née Doherty) and loving father of James, Mark, Sarah and Manus. Sadly missed by his loving wife and family, brothers, sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Lying in repose at his residence on Monday evening from 5pm to 7pm. Reception Prayers on Tuesday morning at 10.30am in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, The Lough, followed by Requiem Mass at 11.00am. Cremation will take place afterwards in the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy. No flowers please.

 

Howard RUTHERFORD
The death has occurred of Howard Rutherford, Main Street, Kilmacrennan, Co. Donegal, September 29, 2017, suddenly at Letterkenny University Hospital. Deeply regretted by his son Trevor, daughters Sharon, Patricia, Elaine, Michelle, Wendy and Fiona, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Remains will repose at the residence of his son Trevor and Ruth Rutherford, Cashleenan, Kilmacrennan, from 6pm this evening, Saturday 30. Funeral from there on Monday at 1.15pm going to Kilmacrennan Church of Ireland for service at 2pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family time from 10pm to 10am. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Kilmacrennan Church of Ireland c/o any family member.

 

Brendan CAVANAGH
The death has occurred of Brendan Cavanagh, Drung, Quigley’s Point, Donegal.

Removal took place this morning at 10.30am for 11am Requiem Mass in St. Columba’s Church, Drung, Quigley’s Point followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, in lieu to the Irish Wheelchair Association.
