Three club members travelled to Westport over the weekend for the annual Sea 2 Summit adventure race.

Over 2,500 competitors took part in Ireland’s largest adventure race consisting of cycling, running and hiking.

Emma McGee was the only brave club member to take on the Supreme 56k event which included a gruelling climb to the summit of Croagh Patrick.

Once again Emma did it in style, putting in a very impressive performance on the day, finishing 4th woman overall in a time of 3:56:57.

Shaun McDevitt took on the 30k spirit event finishing in 1:52:53, giving him a fantastic 24th overall. Emma’s husband Paddy McGee opted for the shorter spirit course this year finishing in 01:58:02.

Great times for all 24/7 members.
