An Inishowen man has pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing the death of a young Buncrana man.
Seosamh McGonigle, 20, from Glackmore, Muff, appeared at Letterkenny Circuit Court today.
He was charged with dangerous driving causing the death of John Hegarty [21] at Carnashannagh, Burnfoot, on July 12, 2015 to which he pleaded guilty.
He also pleaded guilty to driving without insurance.
The court was told that members of the late John Hegarty’s family were in court.
Barrister for Mr McGonigle, Richard Lyons, requested the sentence be adjourned until the next sitting of the circuit court and asked Judge John Aylmer for a probation and psychiatric report in the case.
