Gardai are investigating an incident in which elderly residents were held at knifepoint in their home and robbed.
The robbery took place in Kilmacrennan last night.
Details of the incident are vague but it is understood the culprits broke in through a back door.
It is understood the man demanded and escaped with an undisclosed sum of money.
It is understood the man was armed with a knife but nobody was physically hurt in the raid.
However, the elderly residents were treated for shock.
