Rachael Darragh bows out of European Badminton Championships

Rachael Darragh bowed out of the 2018 European Badminton Championships in Spain today.

The Raphoe woman, who competed in the Commonwealth Games in Australia earlier this month, was in action in the women’s singles and the women’s doubles.

Darragh teamed up with Sara Boyle and the Irish duo pushed Finland’s Jenny Nystrom and Sonja Pekkola all the way to a third game.

However, Nystrom and Pekkola took the win 21-15 15-21 21-16.

In the women’s singles, Darragh lost out 21-9 21-10 to Germany’s Luise Heim.
