Donegal boxers help keep James McClean sharp ahead of Stoke switch

James McClean is on the verge of making a £5million move to Stoke City – and the Republic of Ireland winger was being sharpened by two Donegal boxers today.

McClean seems set to move to Stoke from West Bromwich Albion.

Stoke were relegated from the Premier League and will play in the Championship next season, but Potters manager Gary Rowett is a long-time fan of Derry native McClean.

McClean is back in Derry, but is keeping active.

And today he was at Oakleaf ABC, where he took to the ring with St Johnston cousins Brett McGinty and Callum Toland.
