National glory for Kevin Eves in Ulster Rally

Pettigo’s Kevin Eves won the National section of yesterday’s Ulster Rally.

Eves, in a MkII Escort, with Chris Melly on the notes, had 17.6 seconds ahead of Cammilus Bradley and Crawford Henderson.

Letterkenny’s Kyle and Dale McGettigan were fourth overall in the national and ninth overall in their Escort.

Dungloe man John Bonner, with Denver Rafferty as co-driver in the Escort, was fifth in the national and 12th overall while JR McDaid and Liam McIntyre finished 15th in the overall event and seventh in the national.
