The game started with Mulroy attacking at illistrin but Riona McFadden and Orla McCrossan stood strong in defence.

Mulroy took the lead after 18 minutes when Megan McLaughlin scored after a ball over the top.

Orla Malseed pulled off some fine stops and was showing great composure in goals. Illistrin then created two very good chance a great run by Lucy McKeever cutting the ball back to Leanne McGettigan, who fired just wide.

Just a few minutes later, Sarah Robinson ran down the line and cut across to Leanne McGettigan who hit the post.

Illistrin threw the kitchen sink at Mulroy but got caught with a sucker punch when Herron ran through and scored Mulroy’s second to seal victory.
