Listen: Christopher Sweeney says win over Crossmaglen was ‘surreal’

GOALKEEPER CHRISTOPHER SWEENEY was one of a handful of survivors who played for Gaoth Dobhair when they last faced Crossmaglen Rangers.


In 2006, the Armagh champions were 0-12 to 1-4 winners over Gaoth Dobhair in Ulster and it took until this year for the team from west Donegal to win their domestic championship again.

Today, in the Ulster Club SFC semi-final, Gaoth Dobahir produced a performance from the ages to topple Crossmaglen on a 4-11 to 0-16 scoreline and they now have a final meeting with Monaghan’s Scotstown in two weeks time.
