Three Donegal schoolboys were involved as the Republic of Ireland won 3-0 against Australia in an International Schools Friendly.

The Republic of Ireland took the lead through Brandon Bermingham, who got a brace of penalties on the day, while Jake Ellis sealed the deal with a cracking third goal.

Daragh Ellison started and captained the side in the final 20 minutes, as Corey McBride and Jack Doherty were introduced in the second half.

William O’Connor’s side were without the services of Lee McLaughlin, who missed the game through injury.

Republic of Ireland Schools, with a backroom staff of Ollie Horgan and Mickey McGlynn, will now take on Scotland on March 28th in the Centenary Shield.
