18 Hole Stableford Sweep
The winner of last weekends 18 hole Stableford Sweep was the ever consistent Paul Eccles (16). Paul played some great golf over the front 9 to record 21 pts and then consolidated this score with another 18 pts over the back 9 to amass his winning score of 39 pts. In second place with 38 pts was another consistent performer the evergreen Sean Murphy (15).
Mini-League
The much anticipated Mini-League will start this weekend Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th January and the qualifying will run for 4 weeks. The format will be pairs playing greensomes, betterball, scramble and with 3 scores to count form the 4 to qualify for the match play stages. There is a lot of flexibility built into the qualifying with Fridays also available for qualifying purposes. The Mini-League also helps to gets players prepared and their game ready for the competition calendar which will kick off on Saturday 9th March.
Find the Joker Fundraising
The “Find the Joker” is up and running again with a Jackpot of €1,050.00, lines only cost €2 each and this draw is open to members and non-members alike. Lines can be purchased in the clubhouse or through chief seller Oliver Doherty.
Membership Deals
There are great membership deals available at present i.e. golf until March 1st 2020 – Men €333.00, Ladies €232, complete beginners male €260.00 and Lady €190.00 all rates inclusive of G.U.I. & Insurance fees. The male membership fees will increase by €17.00 after the 17th March 2019. Anyone paid in full on or before the 17th March will be exempt from this increase.
Committee Meeting
The first meeting of the new committee will take place on Monday 28th January 2019 @ 7:00 p.m. sharp and all committee members are requested to attend.
