Second-half brace gives Donegal U12s derby win over Inishowen

Donegal struck twice in the second half to overcome Inishowen in the SFAI Inter-League Cup at Illistrin today.

Alex Cunnea and Carragher Friel netted the goals for Jonnie McGroarty’s team.

An excellent game between two evenly-matched sides was scoreless at the break.

However, Donegal captain Cunnea raced forward in the 42nd minute before firing in a super drive from 18 yards.

Friel doubled the lead after some fine approach work, applying the finish with his lesser-used left-foot.
