Buncrana Golf: Oliver Doherty and Mickey Mc Cann maintain five point league lead

The format last weekend in the mini-league was a scramble and there were some good scores returned over the two days.

The best score of the weekend was 44 pts returned by Sean Cronin and Seamus Mc Gee and this scored moved Sean and Seamus into second place overall in the qualifying tables.

However, at present Oliver Doherty and Mickey Mc Cann remain the team to beat as they hold a 5 point lead over their nearest rivals in the qualifying tables.

There will be two more weekends of qualifying in the mini-league and the format for both will be greensomes.

Find the Joker Fundraising

The “Find the Joker” is up and running again with a Jackpot of €1,125.00, lines only cost €2 each and this draw is open to members and non-members alike. Lines can be purchased in the clubhouse or through chief seller Oliver Doherty.

Membership Deals

There are great membership deals available at present i.e. golf until March 1st 2020 – Men €333.00, Ladies €232, complete beginners male €260.00 and Lady €190.00 all rates inclusive of G.U.I. & Insurance fees. The male membership fees will increase by €17.00 after the 17th March 2019. Anyone paid in full on or before the 17th March will be exempt from this increase.

Captains Drive In

Mr. Brendan Murphy and Ms. Moya O’ Doherty will host their joint Captains Tee Off on Sunday 3rd March @ 2:00 p.m. sharp. The Captains Tee Off will be followed by 9 hole teams of four mixed scramble with refreshments afterwards in the clubhouse and names are now being taken.

Last Man Standing

The committee are running another Last Man Standing to raise funds for club development, entry sheets are available in the clubhouse and the start date will be Tuesday 26th February.
