Testing tie for Knockalla Cup holders Letterkenny as quarter-final draw made

Holders Letterkenny Rovers have been handed a testing away tie against Inishowen League champions Glengad United in the quarter-finals of the Knockalla Caravans Senior Cup.

In last season’s final, Letterkenny came from behind to defeat Cockhill 2-1 at Dry Arch Park.

Oisin McColgan had put Cockhill in front, only for Declan Sharkey and Ryan Lonergan to prise the silverware from their clutches.

While the Knockalla Cup games are pencilled in for the weekend of March 10th, the Glengad-Letterkenny tie at The Crua will not go ahead that weekend. Glengad are in FAI Junior Cup quarter-final action against Clonmel Town.

There is a tasty all-Ulster Senior League quarter-final tie in the Knockalla Cup as Cockhill welcome Bonagee.

Elsewhere, Donegal League champions Kildrum Tigers host Finn Harps Reserves at Station Road with Fanad United at home to Greencastle.
