The final round of the qualifying in the mini-league took place last weekend and the shock of the qualifying was the early departure of the father and son combination of Benny and Sean Murphy.

Mini-League

Benny and Sean would have been strongly fancied to do well in this competition but unfortunately, they didn’t make the cut.

The draw for the first round of qualifying which will take place next weekend Saturday, March 9 and Sunday, March 10 is as follows:

Jonny Morrison & Seamus Mc Laughlin v Derek Smith & Martin Barber

Emmet Friel & Garbhan Fullerton v Mark Monaghan & Sean T. Murphy

Kevin Tracey & Darragh O’ Connor v Barry Doherty & Ryan Mc Hugh

Tony Hegarty & Kevin Mc Grath v Damien Doherty & Joe Mc Cauley

Sean Cronin & Seamus Mc Gee v Shaun Devlin & Henry McDaid

Oliver Doherty & Mickey Mc Cann v Condy Quinn & Bernard Doherty

Stephen Fitzpatrick & Mike Mc Laughlin v Paul Eccles & Kevin Mc Dermott

Sean Mc Menamin & Martin Mc Laughlin v Hugh Doherty & Tony Mc Sherry

There are some great matches lined up for next week with last year’s winners Stephen Fitzpatrick & Mike Mc Laughlin playing the stalwart pairing of Paul Eccles & Kevin Mc Dermott.

But the match of the round must between the Sunday morning regular fourball of Sean Mc Menamin & Martin Mc Laughlin v Hugh Doherty & Tony Mc Sherry, who will have the bragging rights after this match.

The mini-league matches can be played any day this week and with the first competition of the year this Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th sponsored by O’ Flaherty’s Fitness & Performance, with over €1,000.00 in prizes no one will want to miss out playing for the chance to win some of them prizes.
