Police have had to evacuated homes during a “number” of security alerts in Derry this morning, Easter Sunday.

A PSNI spokesperson said there was “major disruption” as Iniscarn Road, Harty Court and Moss Park were sealed off.

A section of the Strand Road has also been closed to traffic.

One of the devices was found outside the home of Derry republican councillor Gary Donnelly, where the explosion was carried out.

A 39-year-old man has since been arrested and taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Musgrave Police Station for questioning.
