Lettermacaward’s Declan Boyle was second in the Cavan Stages Rally today.

The rally was won by Sam Moffett, who was 44.4 seconds ahead of Boyle.

The Donegal man, co-driven by Brian Boyle, his cousin, in the Fiesta, was in front of Desi Henry.

Muff man Joseph McGonigle, with Ciaran Geaney on the notes, in a Fiesta was fourth overall.

There was plenty of Donegal interest in the event.

Among them were Ramelton duo Shane Carr and Ciaran Carr, who won class 10 in their Nova, while Donegal’s Liam McIntyre navigated Brian Lavelle to a win in class 11F
