Emmet at Rushe Fitness in Letterkenny has launched the 2019 Summer Shape Up, which promises to be the gym’s biggest challenge yet.

The fitness pack helps people get in shape in fun ways AND be in with a chance of winning a holiday worth €1000.

Now in its third year, the Summer Shape Up brings the Rushe Fitness members through a summer of fitness and fun.

Members are motivated to get in the best shape ever, but also to push themselves outside of their comfort zones. And, with the added incentive of a €1,000 holiday prize for the overall winner, and a €500 prize from partners Atlantic Travel, they had no problems in rising to the challenge.

Alongside the usual classes, members will take part in weekly challenges in order to move them closer to the grand prize.

“One of the main reasons that people fall away from training over the summer is due to family commitments and changes in routine,” said Emmet.

“We post a weekly challenge and encourage everyone to make use of our beautiful county. For the past two years, the challenges have turned into a mini Wild Atlantic Way challenge and we have had members doing their challenges all over Donegal, getting their families involved. Members who are away on holiday throughout the challenges have posted amazing photographs against backgrounds all over the world.”

Emmet adds: “We have teamed up once again with Atlantic Travel in Letterkenny and have 2 main prizes on offer again for 2019.

“The 1st prize is once again a fantastic €1000 holiday voucher, which took the 2017 winner, Joanne, to New York for Christmas, with 2018 winner Emmet McNamee heading off on holiday with his family in the next few weeks.”

Mr McNamee said of the Summer Shape Up “ I’ve never had as much craic while working out as I did during the Summer Shape Up last year, with a great community of people supporting each other along the way.

“Thanks to Emmet and all the team at Rushe Fitness for running this every year, I’m off to Santa Ponsa with the family in a few weeks… All I can say is sign up, work hard, have a laugh and you could be the one booking your holiday next.”

While the structure of the challenge is similar to previous years, the team at Rushe Fitness have been planning new challenges and activities for their fitness community for 2019.

“We can promise a summer of enjoyable training, both in the gym here in Letterkenny AND around the county.  Our aim as usual is to put fun and family at the centre of our members’ fitness. We’re looking forward to an exciting 12 weeks at Rushe Fitness.”

And so for 2018,  The Summer Shape Up is going to be bigger and even more fun, with members being encouraged to keep up their fitness while exploring Donegal and getting in great shape in the process.

“We live in one of the most beautiful places on the planet.  The photographs that we all have from last summer of adventures all over Donegal are amazing. We’re keeping fitness fun and encouraging people to experience new places with their families and friends.”

The challenge begins on June 24th and will run until the Grand Finale on August 31st.
