O’Donnell reaches semis as Donegal athletes compete at European Masters

OLYMPIAN YAC’s Martin O’Donnell qualified for the semi-finals at the European Masters Athletics Championships yesterday.

O’Donnell booked a spot in the semi-finals after running 12.44 seconds in heat 4 of the 100m in the M45 category.

O’Donnell is one of five Donegal athletes, who have traveled to Venice to take part in the European Masters Championships, which run over the next week.

Letterkenny AC’s Kathryn McDevitt goes in the W35 200m.

Finn Valley trio Noreen Bonner (half marathon W60), Gloria Donaghey (half marathon W60) and Brian Ó Domhnaill (10k and 20k walks M40) will also be in action.
