PATRICK Ferry continued his rich scoring streak as Derry City Reserves booked a place in the next round of the North West of Ulster Intermediate Cup.

Ferry was yesterday called up by Republic of Ireland Under-18 manager Andy Reid for a friendly with a home-based squad.

The Gweedore man has been on fire lately and he maintained the streak.

Ferry will be the answer to a quiz question now as the first goal scorer in the new cross-border competition.

Ferry fired Derry in front after just eight minutes.

That was how it remained until Ferry added a second in the 93rd minute.
