Luke McAteer takes 7/1 winner at Listowel

DONEGAL jockey Luke McAteer had further success today at Listowel.

The Rathmullan man, who recorded a 125/1 double at Fairyhouse yesterday, recorded his latest winner today.

McAteer took 7/1 shot Angel Palanas to victory in the Feale Handicap.

The Donegal man raced in fourth and let others jostle for the lead. Inside the final quarter of a mile, McAteer made the push.

In the end, McAteer had two lengths to spare on Foreign Legion to take the win for trainer Pat Murphy.
