DONEGAL Gardai detected a disqualified driver at an Operaction Fanacht checkpoint this afternoon.
The motorist, who was disqualified for an accumulation of penalty points, was detected by the Donegal Town Roads Policing Unit in the Ballyshannon area.
With the use of the mobility app, Gardaí were able to identify the disqualified driver.
The driver was arrested and a court appearance will now follow.
A Garda spokesperson said: “Do not take any chances when it comes to road safety. Chances are that you might regret doing so.”
