THERE is anger and digest after a consignment of tyres and beer bottles were dumped near Glenveagh National Park in the latest case of illegal dumping in Donegal.

A walker spotted the discarded items today while walking on the R251 road between Gartan and Glenveagh.

Fifteen tyres were left in a pile just off the road while boxes of beer bottles were also among the items discarded.

“This is just five minuets away from Glenveagh National Park and it’s just disgusting behaviour,” one angry local told Donegal Daily.

“Ignorant people think it’s just okay to dump these items along out beautiful county.”
