There have been three more Covid-19 related deaths and 606 cases of the virus recorded across Ireland today.
Of these, a total of 57 cases were in Co Donegal.
The 14 day incidence rate for the past 14 days in Donegal is now 260.7 compared to the national average of 159.5.
There are 75 people in intensive care from Covid which is down one person from yesterday.
The Health Service Executive said disease levels in the community were not decreasing despite restrictions.
Earlier, Tánaiste Leo Varadkar told the Dáil that getting daily Covid-19 cases to the low numbers achieved last year is “not a prospect” due to the B117 variant.
He said it was “very hard to see” how it was possible to secure a rate lower than 500 cases per day, despite “the enormous efforts of the Irish people”.
