People will be allowed to travel to holiday homes and caravan parks from 10th May, the Taoiseach has confirmed.

Micheal Martin confirmed the measures on RTE’s Morning Ireland this morning.

The move will coincide with intercounty travel, which also resumes on 10th May.

Mr Martin said the reopening of the economy may be changed if the public health situation worsens. He said the government is more than hopeful that the easing of restrictions will continue as planned in May and June, but it will not be afraid to intervene if case numbers and hospital admissions rise.
