A special meeting to discuss the increase in Covid-19 cases in Donegal is to take place this evening.

Deputy Joe McHugh called for the meeting, due to take place at 6pm, between the Chief Medical Officer, Health Minister and all Oireachtas members from the county.

Yesterday evening, The Chief Medical Officer, Dr Tony Holohan, said there are clear examples of non-compliance across Donegal that “even the dogs on the street” know shouldn’t be happening.

Following on from the comments, Deputy McHugh yesterday called for an ‘urgent meeting’ between the minister, NPHET and Donegal TDs and Senators.

“I welcome confirmation of a meeting with Dr Holohan and Minister Donnelly and Donegal politicians at 6pm this evening re the Covid situation in Donegal,” Deputy McHugh said in a Tweet this afternoon.
