MARK English has had to pull out of today’s FBK Games in Hengelo, but is expected back on track in the next two weeks.

English was due at the Göteborg Friidrott Grand Prix on Wednesday last and was entered for the 800m today.

The Finn Valley AC man has had to withdraw after suffering an injury, although the move is believed to be ‘precautionary’.

The three-time European medalist is likely to return to action over the next fortnight.

English has earmarked races and remains on target for the Olympic Games.

English remains well placed in the rankings to secure qualification. Currently, he is 35th with 48 set to make it to Tokyo.
