Gardaí observed a Toyota Twin Cam stop at a T junction at Raymoghey, Manorcunningham on June 19, 2021. The car took off and ‘fishtailed’, Sergeant Jim Collins told Letterkenny District Court.

Noel Groone (30) of Rhode, County Offaly, appeared in court charged with the indecent.

Solicitor Mr Patsy Gallagher said his client was a 31-year-old father-of-one who worked as a lorry mechanic.

Judge Alan Mitchell asked if Groome valued his licence and questioned his presence in Donegal that weekend.

“Was there a convoy up from Offaly?” Judge Mitchell asked.

“Hindsight is a wonderful thing,” Mr Gallagher said.
