A selection of motorists have come under fire for ignoring the new parking spaces at Marble Hill Beach.
On one of the busiest weekends of the year, cars have been seen parking on double yellow lines along the road.
That is despite new parking spaces being provided close to the beach at the other side near the main entrance.
A local resident has raised serious concerns with the behaviour. They said that cars parking on the brae poses a hazard to pedestrians and to beachgoers alike.
They told Donegal Daily: “Emergency services would have no chance of getting through due to these selfish lazy parkers who would rather put people at risk instead of parking in a normal space and having to walk a few more yards.”

Gardaí are calling on people to park in a responsible manner this sunny weekend.
“Always park in a responsible manner and ensure that you never block access for pedestrians, wheelchair users, other vehicles or any of the emergency services,” said a spokesperson.
“If you are visiting a beach, please avoid crowded areas. Please only swim at beaches which are patrolled by a lifeguard and always be on alert especially when you have children with you. Enjoy the good spell of weather in a responsible way, keeping in mind that Covid-19 is still here. Please bring your litter including worn facemasks home!”
