Falcarragh man pleads guilty to assault and harassing woman

A Falcarragh man has pleaded guilty to a number of charges including assault causing harm and harassment.

Daniel Ferry, aged 25, appeared at Letterkenny Circuit Court where he simply replied ‘guilty’ to the charges put to him.

He is charged with burglary at Derryreel, Falcarragh on August 7th, 2020 when he entered the home of Kerry McFadden.

He is also charged with assault causing harm to Barry McGinley at the same address.

He also pleaded guilty on a charge of between 3rd and 7th August at Derryreel, Falcarragh he harassed Kerry McFadden by following her and communicating with her by phone or text.

The court was told that Ferry, of Shroughan, Falcarragh, has no previous convictions.

THe court ordered that a probation and welfare report be prepared in the case.

Sentencing was adjourned to the next sitting of the local circuit court in October.
