OVER A third of Covid-19 outbreaks are reported to be in workplaces.
The HSE has said that workplace outbreaks have accounted for 35.1 per cent of recent cases.
Contact tracing staff say that there are increasing numbers of cases within workplaces that are open.
There were 114 outbreaks or clusters identified from July 13-August 9. There were 41 of those in workplaces.
A spokesperson said: “It’s probably connected to the age of people working at the variety of workplaces that are still open and operating.”
