KILCAR have lodged an objection over Saturday night’s 2020 Donegal SFC final.

Kilcar have asked Donegal GAA’s Competitions Controls Committee (CCC) to probe a possible breach of regulation in the game.

The Towney club requested copies of the referee’s report and the team sheets amid claims that Naomh Conaill used more than the permitted number of substitutes.

The CCC confirmed that they have received correspondence from Kilcar. The CCC will meet to discuss the matter.

Naomh Conaill won 4-2 on penalties following a 2-7 to 0-13 draw after extra time at Sean MacCumhaill Park.

GAA rules permit the use of a maximum of three substitutions in extra time.

Kilcar had until 8pm this evening to submit their objection.

Under rule, should it be found that there was a breach of rule, the CCC can award the game to Kilcar, fine Naomh Conaill or order a replay.

The Naomh Conaill have three days from receipt of notification of the objection to respond.
