A student had to be rescued from Altan Farm after they became unwell overnight.

Donegal Mountain Rescue were tasked by An Garda Siochana at 11:54pm last night to the school group who were out on a camping trip.

One of the students in the group became unwell and required medical attention.

The team were able to locate the group, and the casualty was walked and stretchered off the hill.

The casualty was then passed over to the HSE on the road, and the DMR team was stood down at 4:56am this morning.

“We wish the casualty a quick and speedy recovery,” said a spokesperson for the DMR.
