The wastewater treatment plant at Mountcharles has been given the green light for improvement works.
The plant will be upgraded under Irish Water’s Small Towns and Villages Growth Programme.
The project will cease discharge in Mountcharles, transferring flows to the Donegal Town network.
Working in partnership with Local Authorities, this investment in the local wastewater infrastructure will provide additional capacity for the development of new homes, while ensuring that wastewater continues to be treated to an appropriate standard.
