Some of Donegal’s best-known ambassadors are supporting the call for 100% Redress on this pivotal day for Mica families.

Stars from the world of music and sport are using their platforms to highlight today’s protest around the world.

Ireland International legend Packie Bonner spoke on behalf of anguished families: “A house is your home, it’s you sanctuary, it’s your castle. It’s where you bring up your family. It’s where you bring your loved ones too. When it’s taken away from you or destroyed, it can have devastating effects.

“Let’s hope the powers that be do the right thing and give these people hope and some peace leading into this winter.”

Singer Daniel O’Donnell said it’s time to end the nightmare families have been living through.

Daniel has called on the powers that be to provide the necessary supports sought by Mica campaigners.

“Please, end the nightmare and do what’s right,” he said.
