Donegal church has its online prayers answered!

A Donegal church who asked parishioners to help them fundraise to install a new broadcasting system for online masses have had their prayers answered.

During lockdown mass-goers at St Columba’s Church in Kilmacrennan were able to to continue their devotion online thanks to Facebook.

However, the church wanted to put in an updated broadcasting system and needed €5,000 to do this.

But instead of getting the required amount, generous parishioners have donated almost DOUBLE that through a Go Fund Me page.

Now work has started on installing the system in the church.

Once up and running the new system will mean that all church events including masses, funerals, baptisms and weddings can be broadcast throughout the local community and around the world.

If you would like to donate to the Go Fund Me Appeal for the new equipment at St Columba’s Church please see https://www.gofundme.com/f/mass-online?qid=07ebfda14b7dd713a6a277606101885c
