Covid-19 cases have increased in four of Donegal’s seven local areas in the past two weeks.
New figures from the Department of Health show cases are highest in the south Donegal local electoral area. The 14-day incidence rate in the area is now 883 per 100,000, with 234 new cases confirmed in the past two weeks.
For the third week running, no areas of Donegal are among the 10 highest rates nationally. Longford recorded Ireland’s highest 14-day incidence rate this week.
In Donegal, cases have increased in North and South Inishowen (Buncrana/ Carndonagh LEAs), South Donegal and Glenties.
Cases are down again in Letterkenny, Lifford-Stranorlar and Milford.
