Letterkenny councillor Gerry Mc Monagle is calling on Irish Water to upgrade their system that supplies water to the Conwal/Newmills area.
Cllr Mc Monagle was speaking after the second weekend in a row residents in the Conwal area were without water.
He said “This seems to be an ongoing issue in this area residents regularly are without adequate water pressure and now these last two weekends some residents have had no water at all.
“This is not good enough. Irish Water know about these deficits with the supply and yet continue to do nothing about it.
“This is a infrastructure issue and Irish Water need to upgrade their system and ensure that residents in the Conwal and Newmills area have an adequate water supply for all their daily needs.
“I will be raising this matter with Irish Water at our next clinic with them.”
