A farmer had to be rescued yesterday after he fell near cliffs at Muckross Head near Kilcar.
The man was checking on livestock when he fell and landed in a dangerous area.
Rescue 118 was alerted and once on-scene a winchman was lowered to assist the casualty.
He was able to assess and then stabilise the patient.
With the assistance of National Ambulance Service personnel and volunteers from Killybegs Coast Guard, he prepared the patient for winching to the aircraft.
It is understood the man was taken to hospital but no information on his condition has been released.
A spokesperson for the Rescue 118 helicopter thanked the coast guard volunteers and ambulance service personnel who are part of the wider EMS team.
