A man in his 50s has pleaded guilty to engaging in a sexual act with a protected person knowing the person was protected.
The man pleaded guilty to the incident which took place in Buncrana on June 6th, 2019.
No details of the assault were given in court.
He appeared at Letterkenny Circuit Court where he spoke only to plead guilty.
His barrister Colm Smith asked for a probation report in the case saying his client had no previous convictions apart from some traffic charges.
He also asked for a report from the man’s GP.
Judge John Aylmer agreed and adjourned the case until the next sitting of the court in May.
