Breaking: Motorcyclist seriously injured in south Donegal collision

A man has been taken to hospital following a motorbike accident in Laghey this evening.

The man, aged in his 50s, was involved in a single-vehicle crash on the R232, Trummon West, Laghey.

He was taken to Sligo University Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are understood to be serious.

Gardaí are currently at the scene.

The road is currently closed to allow for a technical examination, local diversions are in place.
