The government is extending its humanitarian assistance scheme to victims of the Creeslough tragedy.

The fund is normally available to households damaged in severe weather events such as flooding.

Cabinet Ministers today signed off on extending the scheme to households with essential needs immediately after the devastating explosion last Friday.

Minister for Social Protection Heather Humphreys said she hoped will help those directly impacted by the heartbreaking events.

Information on the scheme is available at: https://www.gov.ie/en/service/12e880-humanitarian-assistance-scheme-swa/
