Catherine Grier scored as Ireland defeated Israel 5-0 in Group B of the European Deaf Futsal Championships in Italy.
The Lagan Harps woman scored the second goal of the game, firing under the Israel goalkeeper to make it 2-0 inside the first quarter.
Grant is one of three Donegal women to be selected in the squad, with Leah McMonagle and Teagan O’Reilly also making the side for the competition in Montesilvano.
Rebekah Grant from Cork scored a hat-trick while the other goal was an OG in Ireland’s opening game of the competition.
Ireland face a tough task in their next two games, taking on Germany and Spain, who finished 2nd and 3rd respectively at the 2018 European Deaf Futsal Championships.
