Erin McLaughlin has received a first call-up to the Republic of Ireland senior side, one of three Donegal women in the squad.

The Culdaff native has been called up by Vera Pauw for the first time as she looks to make her debut, while Amber Barrett and Ciara Grant also return to the side for the game against Morocco.

The 19-year-old McLaughlin scored six goals in 25 appearances her debut season in the Women’s National League as she joined Peamount United from Sion Swifts, helping them to a third place finish.

McLaughlin has been a regular in the Ireland Under-19s squad, last featuring in a 1-0 win over Greece in April.

Ireland’s World Cup play-off hero and Milford woman Barrett will also join up with the squad, who take on Morocco on November 14th in Marbella Football Center as preparation for next year’s World Cup.

Letterkenny woman Ciara Grant, who plays for Hearts is also included in the squad.
