Dylan Browne McMonagle landed an impressive 18/1 winner today at Dundalk.
The Letterkenny jockey’s first win was on board Hogmanay for trainer Joseph O’Brien and won the View Restaurant At Dundalk Stadium Median Auction Maiden.
Browne McMonagle and Hogmanay came round the bend with a bit of work to do to catch the leaders but came flying down the middle of the track to win by three quarters of a length from Blue News, with favourite Alexander John in third.
Last week, Browne McMonagle retained his Irish Flat Champion Apprentice jockey crown for 2022.
Browne McMonagle has enjoyed a successful year, highlighted by his first group 1 winner in September on Al Riffa at the Curragh.
