The Garda Commissioner is to visit Donegal today for a brief visit.
Drew Harris will attend the meeting of the Joint Policing Committee at County House in Lifford.
It follows a number of invitations being extended to Commissioner Harris to discuss policing issues in the county.
Chairperson of the Donegal JPC, Councillor Gerry McMonagle confirmed to Donegal Daily before Christmas that a meeting had been finalised.
Among the issues to be discussed will be the both the number of Gardai in the county as well as resources including patrol cars.
Other issues including the closure of Garda stations and additional manpower for the local Drugs Unit will also be on the agenda.
