A warning has been put in place regarding scam emails allegedly coming from Court Offices.
The warning comes from the Courts Service of Ireland as members of the public receive emails are being received from someone pretending to be from the Court Offices.
The Courts Service are reminding people that if they are involved in a case they will receive correspondence through a letter via the post rather than by email.
A spokesperson for the Courts Service of Ireland said: “We understand emails appearing to come from Court Offices are being circulated. Should you be involved in a case or be required to attend Court you will receive documentation through the post, or from your legal representative/ the Gardaí.”
If you receive any suspicious emails please contact the relevant courthouse at: https://courts.ie/content/find-us and they can confirm whether the email came from them.
