The road between Ramelton and Letterkenny is currently closed (at 5pm) after a lorry went over on its side.
The incident happened on the Ramleton side of the Silver Tassie.
Diversions are in place.
Traffic is being diverted through Ardrumman.
Motorists heading to Milford should perhaps use the Mountaintop route.
No injuries have been reported.
