Lagan Harps are the Donegal League Division 2 champions after they defeated Gweedore United 3-0 at Carrickboyle today.

Lagan traveled to Gweedore knowing that victory would be enough to seal the title with one game still to play.

And they got the win they needed in style.

They broke the deadlock early on through Travis Crawford and midway through the first half they scored a second when Matthew Doran shot home after latching on to Glenn Gallagher’s delivery.

Lagan Harps captain Glenn Gallagher is presented with the Donegal Physiotherapy & Performance Centre Division 2 trophy by Nigel Ferry of the Donegal League

Lagan made it 3-0 just before the break when Marty Brogan headed to the net.

Lagan will round off their season when they travel to play Whitestrand in their final game.

The Lagan Harps side that played today was:  Michael Toner, Travis Crawford, Taylor Cassidy, Ciaran Quinn, Josh Hay, Glenn Gallagher, Joe McCarron, Matthew Doran, Ross Hamlyn, Kenny Doran, Marty Brogan.

Subs: Philip Doran for K Doran, Ryan Gallagher for  Hamlyn, Emmet Tourish for  Gallagher, Jack Canning, Darragh Rodgers Bernard McMenamin.
