Finn Valley athlete Brendan Boyce has been selected by Athletics Ireland to compete at the European Race Walking Team Championships.
Boyce makes up a strong team of six athletes who will be travelling to Podebrady, Czech Republic, for the competition on Sunday May 21st.
A full complement of four Senior Men have been selected in the 20km Walk, with the experienced Brendan Boyce and David Kenny joined by the up-and-coming Mullingar duo of Oisin Lane and Matthew Glennon. With three to score, this squad will have one eye on the team standings.
This is a key event on the Race Walking calendar, before Walkers turn their attention to this summer’s major championships.
